Configuring Website Replication

JEM allows you to create unlimited replicated web pages for end users.

To configure, follow these steps:

  1. Create each of the web pages you want to replicate.  There is a replication template for the tags to use in

    /system/application/views/main/replication/index.php

  2. When creating the replication template, make sure to create just the body of the template, as JEM can automatically add the header and footer for you by default.

You can also disable the header/footer on replication pages in

Settings > Global Configuration > Marketing > Marketing Tools > enable header / footer on replication pages
  3. The index page must be named index.php as this will be the base replication page for your affiliate
  4. All subsequent pages can be named anything you want, as long as it ends in ".php" extension, is an alphanumeric filename, and does not skip a space. For example:

    page2.php
    page3.php
    page4.php

  5. Do not use filenames like "second page .php" where ther are spaces in between letters for the filename.

  6. Once you have created your replication templates, upload them to the following folder:

    /system/application/views/main/replication/

  7. Once the upload is done, you have the option of setting the affiliate link for your users to be the replicated web page directly by selecting "replicated site" in Settings > Global Configuration > Marketing > Affiliate Marketing > affiliate link type.  This will show the replicated web page as your affiliate's link for promotions in the members area.

  8. You also need to enable replication in Settings > Global Configuration >  Marketing > Marketing Tools > Enable Replication
  9. The default replication link will look like this:

    http://www.domain.com/reps/affiliateusername/

  10. Other replicated web pages for the user will be in the form:

    http://www.domain.com/reps/affiliateusername/page2
    http://www.domain.com/reps/affiliateusername/page3
    http://www.domain.com/reps/affiliateusername/page4

  11. The name of the file is appended to the end of the replicated web page link.

  12. You can link to each page from the main replication template like this:

    http://www.domain.com/reps/{replication_username}/page2
    http://www.domain.com/reps/
    {replication_username}/page3

    where
{replication_username} is the variable for the username.

Each replicated site can be linked using the filename (without the php extension), so if your replicated web page file name is page2.php, you link to it like so:

    http://www.domain.com/reps/{replication_username}/page2
